Vanilla girl iced matcha latte

Wake up and smell the matcha! I have been loving iced matcha lattes in the morning for a slight caffeine kick. I more recently cut coffee from my mornings and have seen such a huge improvement in eating habits and anxiety levels. Don’t get me wrong though, nothing hits like a regular latte! Anyways, I am excited to share my easy and delicious, vanilla iced matcha recipe with you.

In my opinion, matcha is a bit tricky to make. You have to use the exact right amount of matcha to water ration. Don’t get discouraged if your first few matcha lattes are just ok… its truly a craft but once you find it your matcha groove, you’ll love it!

Ingredients:

1/2 tsp vanilla matcha

1/2 tsp regular matcha

1/2 cup vanilla oat or almond milk (or milk of choice)

splash - 1/4 cup of creamer ~ to taste / sweetness preference

1/2 to 2/3 cups hot water (boil or microwave for 2 mins. If boiling allow to cool for a few minutes to avoid burning matcha)

How to make:

Sift vanilla matcha and regular matcha over mixing bowl, pour hot water over matcha. DO NOT skip the sifting!

Whisk matcha in a side-to-side motion for 30-45 seconds, ensuring powder is dissolved and matcha is slightly bubbly.

Once matcha is mixed and bubbly, add vanilla creamer to matcha

In a glass of your choice, add ice and vanilla oat milk

Pour matcha over ice + milk. Mix and enjoy!

Serving Size: ~ 1 cup OR ~ 8oz - 10oz
